'Game of Thrones' Actress Maisie Williams Talks About Arya And Upcoming Season 5 In Reddit AMA
Young actress Maisie Williams held her first Reddit AMA on Friday, Jan. 31, where she talked about exciting things regarding “Game of Thrones.” The 17-year-old English actress responded to some of the fans’ questions about the HBO fantasy drama series, her character Arya Stark and the upcoming season 5.
Maisie Williams revealed during her Reddit AMA that she realized being a part of “Game of Thrones” is becoming a huge deal for her during the show’s season 3 premiere. The HBO star recounted that hundreds of fans were screaming her name when she stepped out of the car at the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.
“It was very, very daunting – I found it quite scary – but it happened gradually so I had time to get used to it,” Williams shared. When asked how portraying Arya Stark has been for her, Maisie Williams responded the experience made her see the similarities between her and her GoT character.
Maisie Williams explained that it has been really helpful for Arya’s personality to change as she grew older. The actress added that it has been great for her as well because it somehow transformed her into an adult actor.
The young actress also talked about being a minor on a show that has violence and so much adult content. “I’m not around when they shoot the more adult scenes,” Williams shared.
However, the GoT star revealed that she is allowed to watch the show. “I enjoy it and I feel like I’m a bit of a fan of the show,” Williams responded.
When asked if she could tease an Arya Stark scene in the upcoming “Game of Thrones” Season 5, Maisie Williams shared that there is a scene in the upcoming new season that she had difficulty in filming. The actress thinks the fans will be excited to see the upcoming scene that she worked on where Arya is more emotional compared to the previous seasons.
