The big bosses and executives of 'Game of Thrones' recently apologised for having included in their recent episode a decapitated head that looks similar to that of former US President George Bush.

The popular HBO series has always been packed with a lot of controversial issues due to numerous graphic scenes that involve too much violence and sex. One of the runners of the show revealed in a certain commentary that one of the heads on the spikes during the series finale is actually that of the ex-US president.

As for the producers defence, they simply said that they had to do what heads they had around and that there is no political reason behind it. This dismayed the producers from HBO and was quick to give a public apology. They have promised to remove it from all their DVD shipments, digital versions, and other future airings of the controversial scene.

David Benoiff and D.B. Weiss also offered their own explanation that it was too late when they realized that one of the heads they rented looked close to the face of George W. Bush.

They emphasized that they did not mean any disrespect to the ex-president and humbly apologized for even having included this in the DVD commentary.

'Game of Thrones' is renewing for a third season and will be back by next year, still produced by HBO. At the moment, its second season shows are seen in UK via the Sky Atlantic.
