What makes watching an epic television show better? A custom made ale named after Game of Thrones, called "The Iron Throne."

Released in time for the series' third season which airs on the 31st, the "Iron Throne" is indeed a sure-fire hit to fans, geeks, and beer lovers who enjoy watching HBO's biggest show to date. HBO paired up with Brewery Ommegang for the creation of the Game Of Thrones-inspired drink, and by the looks of the packaging, it can be passed as a "collector's item" one day.

A beer connoisseur tried and tasted the beer and describes it as:

"a good TV beer. The taste is extremely easy-drinking: malty, vaguely fruity, a little spicy, but nothing overpowering. It goes down especially smooth for being 6.5 percent ABV." says Paul Schrodt of Esquire Magazine.

With that review, it is safe to say that "The Iron Throne" ale is the perfect companion to a thrilling Game of Thrones episode, especially if fans like to watch with friends and fellow fans.

As for the third season, new characters are expected to join the treachery and violence, as well as developments from favorites such as Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and of course, Tyrion Lannister.
