Game of Thrones News: Wins Best Drama at TCA Awards, Season Four Casts 'Star Trek: Into Darkness' star
Game of Thrones ended Season 3 with a bloody wedding that caused them to win Best Drama at TCA Awards and have announced new characters for Season Four.
Even though most of its major characters are dead, HBO programming chief Michael Lombardo assured that the hit show will continue "as long as there are stories to tell." Lombardo also revealed that the Games of Thrones producers have not thought about an ending for the show.
The producers announced that Roger Ashton-Griffiths will play the role of Mace Tyrell, ending rumours that Sherlock star Mark Gatlilss could earn the part. In Game Of Thrones he will play the son of Lady Olenna, father of Loras and Margaery. This is reportedly a major character in Season 4.
'Star Trek: Into Darkness' star Joseph Gatt will also be joining the cast of Game Of Thrones in the upcoming season, though his part is shrouded in a little more mystery. He even posted in his Facebook page:
"I have just returned to the USA from the first part of shooting a great role on a great TV show. I cannot confirm or deny anything about this particular show or the role until production say it's OK to do so. So speculate away but do not expect any answers from me "
There are some people who speculate that he could play Styr but there has been no confirmation from the show's producers. He has been filming in Iceland where scenes behind the Wall are usually filmed. He is said to appear in four episodes in Season 4.
What will happen in the next and last season of Games of Thrones? What do you think?
