Game of Thrones Season 3 Chaos: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Starks and Lannisters Return [PHOTOS &VIDEO]
HBO is feeding "Game of Thrones" fans excitement little by little. In the new teaser trailer released for the highly anticipated show, they only left one word, "Chaos."
It won't be too long before the well-loved medieval fantasy show returns. Counting the days before the "Game of Thrones" season 3 begins, the show revealed an additional cast. English actress Diana Rigg will play the character of "Queen of Thorns."

In the dramatic trailer that presents the major game players for the third season, they each described the meaning of chaos parallel to their characters.
"Many who try to climb it fail, never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm, or the gods, or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is," as the voice over described.
What's to be expected on season 3? Well, unlike "Game of Thrones" season 2, the third season will only capture half of George R.R. Martin's novel "A Storm of Swords." The decision was made by HBO producers to divide the book for season 3 and season 4. Although some fans may be against it, it's actually good since it will give the show longer air time.
With so many compelling characters that are joining in for this season, the best option would be to split it. It would be a waste not to cover each important character as they should be portrayed. Besides, if you look at it at a producer's point of view, longer telecast means more bucks.
Co-creators of the show D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were not shy in expressing their excitement for "Game of Thrones" season 3. They were also successful in keeping their audience guessing. Maybe it's all part of their promotion before the show airs again on March 31, 2013.
That being said, watch the video below for a sneak peek of beloved characters like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, the Starks and the Lannisters as they prepare to return on screen.
