‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3: Filming Locations Revealed!
HBO is treating their avid "Game of Thrones" fans with additional details for the coming season 3 next year.
New details were released by the Emmy-winning medieval fantasy drama "Game of Thrones." The production and filming will begin this month as auditions for new roles started in June. And although everyone is possibly looking out for the confirmed actors for the third season, HBO has not yet released any details about it.
However, they did release new information about the shooting locations for the third season. In addition to its current shooting location which is Dubrovnik, Croatia, the series will be adding Morocco as another shooting spot.
They will also continue filming in Iceland, while the "Game of Thrones" key production hub will remain steady in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The show will again receive support from the Northern Ireland Screen fund.
The coming third season will again be set in ten episodes which will be adapted from George R.R. Martin's third novel "A Storm of Swords." Some fans will be pleased that characters who are long overdue to appear will finally debut in the third season.
Creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said that in order to keep some mystery, they will keep some characters in secret. They said that the released character list for the third season of "Game of Thrones" is not yet the complete list.
For those who are eager to find out more tidbits about the third season, fans would be happy to know that some of the show's main actors will be present at "Game of Thrones" Comic-Con panel that will take place on July 13 in San Diego, California.
