GOT's Episode 10 in the past three seasons are rather subdued, as if viewers are given a chance to breathe from the ninth episode's shockers. This pattern is shifting. Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 9 ("The Watchers on the Wall") does not disappoint. The battle against the wildlings at Castle Black has been well-received. Now GOT showrunners are hinting Episode 10 could be even more mind-blowing for many fans.

"It's the best finale we've ever done, bar none," Game of Thrones' show bosses David Benioff and Dan Weiss were quoted in this Entertainment Weekly report. Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 10, titled "The Children," could make the long wait for GOT Season 5 a much tougher ordeal for many fans.

In the Game of Thrones Season 4 finale, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) takes on Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds). Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is set to launch herself on an epic quest. Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and her dragons face issues in Meereen, this time without Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen). And then, there's Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).

The pattern in the past three GOT season finales convinced many fans that Tyrion kills Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) in Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 9. Now that show bosses dub GOT 4x10 the "best finale" they have produced, perhaps Tywin's death has been reserved all along for "The Children."

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, earlier said the Game of Thrones Season 4 finale "takes the storyline to a whole new level of a particular storyline." It remains to be seen whether she was hinting at the introduction of the new Catelyn Stark, Lady Stoneheart (Michelle Fairley).

Tywin dying and the mother of the Stark children returning from the dead would certainly be a cause for celebration among avid Game of Thrones fans. "A Song of Ice and Fire," by George R.R. Martin's series from which GOT is based, certainly has these developments in the last parts of its third book, "A Storm of Swords."

More exciting things are about to happen to one of the beloved children of the North, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright). Watch the Game of Thrones 4x10 promo video, which begins with Bran's story. It seems Bran and his crew are only moments away from meeting the three-eyed crow -- something that happens in ASoIaF's fifth book, "A Dance With Dragons."
