A few days ago, "Game of Thrones" fans were surprised when news spread that Bran Stark won't be returning to Season 5 of the HBO show. However, it was apparently a misunderstanding as the actor himself, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, confirmed his return as Bran Stark.

According to Screenrant, the actor confirmed he will be reprising his role during his recent interview with ODE for his upcoming animation movie "The Boxtrolls," where he voiced the character of Eggs.

"The next season of Game of Thrones and school are my biggest projects, at the moment," he said.

As previously reported by International Business Times, fans initially believed that Bran Stark won't make an appearance in the new season when Kristian Nairn confirmed he won't reprise his role as Hodor. The media was quick to speculate that Nairn was also talking about Isaac Hempstead-Wright's character when he said," We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books."

Now it's uncertain if another member of Hodor's group, Meera (Ellie Kendrick), will also be returning. Movieweb claims it was expected if the group (Hodor, Bran Stark and Meera) would not make an appearance in Season 5. Their storyline reportedly neared its end to George R.R. Martin's 5th book, "A Dance With Dragons."

In "A Dance With Dragons," Three-Eyed Raven a.k.a. The Greenseer helps Bran develop his clairvoyant skills. Through his aid Bran Stark was able to communicate with another character in Westeros and get into his father's memories. Season 4 of "Game of Thrones" was able to feature this storyline. At the end of the show Hodor, Meera and Stark made it to the "weirwood tree" and met The Greenseer whom Bran has dreamt about.

So there's reportedly a possibility that this plot could come into play in Season 5. Fans would finally be able to learn more about Bran Stark's skills at clairvoyance. However, this storyline remains an assumption as no specific details have yet been revealed regarding the character's return to "Game of Thrones."
