'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Posters Reveal Arya Stark’s New Hairstyle And Daenerys Targaryen Wearing A Different Necklace
New images of some of the fan favourite characters of “Game of Thrones” Season 5 have emerged online. The images reveal the new costume and hairstyle of Arya Stark and the costumes of some of the other characters. The upcoming season of the TV series is set to premiere on April 12. [Warning: Spoilers Alert]
For most of the time in the previous seasons of “Game of Thrones,” Arya Stark has been on the run. She dressed in shabby clothes and sported short hair, appearing like a boy to keep herself safe and hiding her identity. But that may change in the upcoming season of the show.
The producers have shared a few images with Entertainment Weekly, and also gave some insight about what the fans can expect to see in “Game of Thrones” Season 5. The images are a part of this week’s issue of the magazine. The magazine promises the readers 30 pages of content from the show that is said to include some “serious scoop,” which will supposedly make the fans lose their heads.
The few changes that viewers can note in the images are that Arya Stark will be getting a whole new costume and hairstyle. She will still be carrying her trusted blade “Needle.” Tyrion Lannister will have a fully grown beard and Daenerys Targaryen can be seen wearing a very different looking necklace.
The report also includes a video that features interviews of the cast members from the sets of “Game of Thrones” Season 5. The cast members were asked to sum up everything their character has been through in the past four seasons in 30 seconds.
Peter Dinklage, who plays the role of Tyrion in the show, reminded viewers in the video that it had taken them almost 50 hours to tell all the stories that have aired so far. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, summed up the previous seasons of the show as “death, death, death” and “revenge.” Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, echoed the sentiments of Maisie.
Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, attempted to give a more elaborate answer for the fans. He talked about the death of Ned Stark and dragons getting hatched. Peter Dinklage gave the fans the summary of the TV show “Breaking Bad,” saying that Tyrion Lannister is a “chemistry teacher” who meets the character “Jesse Pinkman” and the two “get involved with some fried chicken place.” Towards the end of the video, Emilia Clarke suddenly remembered to say “dragons.” The actress later revealed that “Daenerys wins” in the show and looked at someone off camera excitedly after her comment.
The executive producers of “Game of Thrones” Season 5, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, gave the fans more substantive information about the upcoming season. They revealed that “worlds are colliding” in the upcoming season. Some of the characters who have so far been living in different parts of the fantasy world will be starting to “head on a collision course for each other.”
“Game of Thrones” Season 5 will also feature the deaths of some of the characters who are still alive in the book series, according to the report. The popular TV series is based on the books written by George R. R. Martin.
