The producers of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 have shared some details regarding a boat scene being filmed. The difficulties and humour on the sets were shared. Meanwhile, a new report suggests that important plot elements from the Iron Islands have been eliminated. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

Producing a show like "Game of Thrones" may be a lot of work, but the producers manage to have a sense of humour on the set. The dark sense of humour is a characteristic of the show. While filming a scene on boats, the cast and crew were instructed to pull the cord on their life jacket if they fall into the water. However, if it doesn't inflate, the crew members are asked to "sink quietly" and not "ruin the take."

The boat scene was filmed with one boat with the cast members, which was attached to the main camera boat. The other boats used in the scene were a second boat for an additional camera, a boat for sound and VFX, a boat for props and finally, a boat for marine rescue.

The scene was shot on a landlocked lake, but there were still 4-feet-tall waves rocking the boats. The waves caused the filming to be stopped a couple of times. Nevertheless, the cast and crew managed all the problems and delivered a brilliant performance.

It is not clear who were the cast members involved in the scene or which Houses were involved in the scene. A House that is famous for using longboats in the show has been the House of Greyjoy. However, a new report now suggests that the plot in the Iron Islands has been eliminated from "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the main focus this time will be on Dorne. The additional characters and locations may have led to the producers omitting the subplot involving the Iron Islands and the Greyjoys.

According to the books written by George R. R. Martin, on which the show "Game of Thrones" is based, the next events in the Iron Islands involve the coronation of the next Iron King. Victarion Greyjoy will lose the position to Euron, but will set sail to Meereen to get the support of Daenerys Targaryen. If the report is true, these events and more may not appear in season 5.
