A dead character may be returning in "Game of Thrones" Season 5; the actor who played the role teased about it in a recent interview. The exact nature of his return was not revealed in the interview, however, which may raise concerns about the TV show deviating from the books. [Spoiler Alert]

Charles Dance, the actor who played Tywin Lannister in the previous season, has teased the fans about his character's return. Based on the books, the next scene involving the character is the funeral, and the only return for Tywin Lannister should be in the form of a dead body.

However, in an interview of the actor posted on the MTV YouTube account, Dance said that he will not be "completely missing out" in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. The actor said that the audience has not seen the last of Tywin Lannister yet. It is, however, unclear if he was teasing about the return of the character in a major way in season 5 or if he was just trying not to spoil his death scene in season 4 for those who haven't watched it yet.

Meanwhile, dead characters making a comeback is not unusual in the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin. Readers of the book will remember that the character Catelyn Stark returned as Lady Stone heart in the books, a storyline ignored by the producers of "Game of Thrones" TV series.

Charles Dance was last seen in "Game of Thrones" season 4 when his character was shot with an arrow by his son Tyrion Lannister. The scene takes place just before Tyrion was trying to flee King's Landing after unfairly being accused of murdering the king and losing the trial by battle.

Filming is currently ongoing for "Game of Thrones" Season 5 in Croatia. Images of many of the important characters have been leaked online from the sets. The new season will mark the debut of some new characters, especially from the kingdom of Dorne. The High Septon of the Faith of Seven will also appear this season.
