‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Spoilers: Faith of Seven Militants

Blood dripping foreheads of the Faith Militants has been revealed in new leaked images of "Game of Thrones" Season 5. The images show the followers of the Faith of Seven and the crude weapons they will use in the show.

The Faith of Seven Militants are expected to go on a rampage in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. New leaked images show some of the members of the Faith at a market place along with some of their weapons. The images were leaked on Jutarnji.

The Faith militants show a forehead marked with the symbol of the seven pointed star, representing the seven gods. They are wearing black robes with chains. According to the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," written by George R. R. Martin, the militants have two branches - The Warrior's Sons and the Poor Fellows.

The Warrior's Sons comprises of devout members of rich families who renounce their lands and wealth to serve the Faith. They wear armour and carry swords. The cast members seen in the leaked images may belong to the other branch of the Militants known as the Poor Fellows.

The poor fellows, as the name suggests, comprises of the common folk who have joined the militants. They mostly use axes and cudgels. Two crew members are seen carrying a box full of cudgels in the leaked images that may be meant for the Militants in "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

The Faith of Seven Militants will play an important role in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. As Cersei's plot to frame Margaery Tyrell is revealed, she will have to make a full confession of all her sins. The High Septon of the Faith of the Seven will demand for the Militant branch to get an official sanction.

The militant branch of the Faith of the Seven was suppressed after great efforts by the erstwhile Targaryen dynasty. The ability of the Faith to influence the Iron Throne had been greatly diminished at that time.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will see the resurgence of the Faith of the Seven militants and a decline in the power of the Iron Throne under Cersei Lannister. To stop the kingdom from descending into chaos, Kevan Lannister will take up the position as regent for a short while.
