‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Spoilers -- Jon Snow And Brienne Scenes Plus New Poster
Two new trailers and a poster of Tyrion Lannister facing a dragon have been released to promote “Game of Thrones” Season 5. One of the videos shows a conversation between Jon Snow and Mance Rayder, while the other video shows a scene of Brienne of Tarth.
The producers of “Game of Thrones” TV series have been releasing brief scenes from the upcoming season. The videos are in the form of “visions” from the three eyed raven. The first full trailer of the upcoming season did not feature Mance Rayder or Brienne.
The scene between Jon Snow and Mance Rayder is mostly about what is good for the wildlings. The events of the previous season had led to the wildlings surrendering to Stanis Baratheon. The video shows Jon praising Mance for uniting the different clans and the giants, not for power or glory but for survival.
Jon Snow tells Mance that none of the wildlings will survive the coming winter, if they are north of the Wall. Jon believes that Mance is putting his pride before the survival of the people he led into battle. It is still unclear if the White Walkers will be appearing in “Game of Thrones” Season 5, none of the trailers and posters that have been released so far feature the creatures from beyond the Wall.
The other video released by the producers is that of Brienne of Tarth. The character is still with Podrick Payne, but she is seen telling the young man that she doesn’t need anyone following her. Brienne doesn’t consider herself to be a leader and wanted to follow a lord she believed in. She thinks that all the good lords in Westeros are dead and the lords that remain are “monsters.”
The producers have also released a poster of Tyrion Lannister standing on a ship and facing the black dragon called drogon. The image was posted on the official Facebook page of the TV series. It is still unclear if Tyrion will be meeting drogon in “Game of Thrones” Season 5.
Fans of the franchise who have been following the TV series may note that the new poster is very similar to the scene from the previous season that showed Drogon flying above a sheepherder. “Game of Thrones” Season 5 is set to premiere on April 12, 2015.
