Game of Thrones Season 5 Spoilers: Nymeria Sand
The producers of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 have reportedly cast Keisha Castle-Hughes for the role of Nymeria Sand. The character is the bastard child of Oberyn Martell. Readers will remember that Oberyn Martell was killed brutally in the previous season. Spoiler Alert.
Oberyn Martel had eight daughters known as the Sand Snakes. According to a report by the New Zealand Herald, the Australian actress Keisha Castle-Hughes may be playing the second eldest daughter of Oberyn Martel in "Game of Thrones" Season 5.
Keisha Castle-Hughes was born in Donnybrook, Western Australia. She has played a role in movies like "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith," "Whale Rider" and "The Nativity Story." The news of her casting as Nymeria Sand is yet to be confirmed by the producers of "Game of Thrones" Season 5.
The House Martell is expected to take revenge for the killing of Oberyn Martell and Nymeria Sand is at the forefront demanding vengeance. She is just as amorous as Oberyn and is skilled in using swords and daggers.
The House Martell is not yet strong enough to take on the might of the Lannisters. According to the book series "A Song of Ice and fire," on which the show "Game of Thrones" is based, Oberyn's brother Doran will have all Sand Snakes arrested to prevent them from taking any steps on their own.
Viewers may see the plot by House Martell to bring down Lannisters and reinstall the Targaryens on the Iron Throne. Oberyn Martel had signed a pact with Viserys Targaryen offering the hand of Arianne Martell and promising the support of House Martell.
Readers will remember that Oberyn wanted revenge for the rape and murder of his sister Elia during the sacking of King's Landing. His death will bring Nymeria Sand to King's Landing to take a seat on the small council.
The small council in "Game of Thrones" Season 5 may be very different from what viewers have grown accustomed to. Petyr Baelish has gone on to become the Lord of the Vale and Lord Varys was last seen travelling on a ship with Tyrion Lannister.
Fans are eagerly looking forward to "Game of Thrones" Season 5 in early 2015. The show has several unexpected twists and several important characters have died so far. The upcoming season will be adding new locations and new characters to the show.
