‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Spoilers: Producers Sending Different ‘Fleeting’ Teaser Trailers To Fans—Report
Some of the fans may have seen a teaser trailer from "Game of Thrones" Season 5. But the producers are reportedly sending out different videos to the fans. The teasers can only be seen once but some of the fans managed to get screenshots of the "fleeting" images. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]
The link to the teaser trailer is sent via sms or a tweet to the fans who have subscribed to the newly launched ThreeEyedRaven website by the producers. The link however may only open with a hand held device. The videos are not available on the official YouTube channel of "Game of Thrones" or HBO.
Because of some technical glitch in the system, some of the fans may not have seen even the first teaser trailer that was launched a few days ago. Some of the fans at WinterIsComing managed to get some screenshots of one of the teaser trailers and added commentary on what was in the video. The report calls the new approach by the producers "very frustrating."
All the teaser trailers released so far appear to be a mix of footage from "Game of Thrones" Season 4 as well as Season 5. One of the teaser trailers reportedly has the footage of Arya practicing her dance on the hills, walking with the Hound, an image of a sword, a girl on a cross near Meereen and Oberyn before his death scene. The two scenes from the upcoming season in the video are reportedly of a beach at night and the door to the House of Black and White.
Some of the fans at WatchersOnTheWall managed to capture more screen shots and also a low quality video of one another teaser trailer. The screen grabs show a snowy landscape, fire, someone holding a sword hilt, the door to House Black and White, a group of people stomping their staffs or spears, someone grinding one of the diamonds in Sansa's necklace, Tyrion escaping with the help of his brother, a fallen sword and Jon Snow.
The video in the report is of the first teaser trailer described above. The report calls the new approach by the producers to be "puzzling" and "somewhat frustrating." Have the producers got the new ad campaign of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 wrong? Or is this the future? Please leave your comments below.
