The cast members are Jessica Henwick as Nymeria Sand, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as Tyene Sand and Keisha Castle-Hughes as Obara Sand. According to the books, Obara Sand is the eldest daughter of all the Sand sisters. She is the daughter of a prostitute and carries a spear and a whip. Nymeria Sand is the second eldest daughter and her mother was a noble woman from Old Volantis. Tyne Sand is the daughter of a Septa in the Faith of the Seven.
With Jaime Lannister traveling to Dorne in "Game of Thrones" Season 5, the role of the Sand sisters will gain significance. The sisters will want to take revenge on the Lannisters for the death of their father, Oberyn Martell.
In the book "A Dance with Dragons," Nymeria Sand was sent to King's Landing to take her position as one of the members of the small council of the king. The position became vacant after the death of Prince Oberyn Martell.
