There was a mistake in the costume designs of "Game of Thrones" Season 5, according to the designer. Michele Clapton explains what went wrong with the costumes of the Sand Snakes and also the rationale behind Sansa Stark's new look. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

Readers who have already seen the leaked images of the Sand Sisters from "Game of Thrones" Season 5 may have noted the look of their breast plate. Speaking to NYmag'sTheCut, Michele Claton said that she was not keen on having such a look and that the design may have been a mistake.

She said that the Sand Sisters' armour were a result of the structured moulds. According to the designer, the production team was supposed to sand it off to make the nipples less visible but it was not done to the extent the designer wanted. She, however, revealed that it was not a very noticeable feature at the sets but admits that the leaked picture shows them very prominently.

According to Claton, the armoury team had no problem with the design and urged the designer not to change it. However, the designer now feels that it was a "bad move" on her part to go along with the team. By the time the picture from the sets of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 reached the fans, it was too late to make changes.

The designer reportedly said that the Sand Sisters will have a beaten leather look, like their father Oberyn Martell. This was said to have been done to show that they are all from the same family. However, each Sand Sister will also have special features like the choice of weapon.

The designer also shared some insight into Sansa Stark's transformation toward the end of the previous season. Sansa Stark makes her own clothes and the new design is said to reflect her change in character. Her new clothes supposedly imply that she is not going to be pushed around anymore.

Arya Stark will also get a makeover in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. The character will reportedly get some new frocks. According to the designer, the actress Maisie Williams was really excited about the changes made in her character's clothing. In fact, the actress said she wanted to throw her old set of clothes from the previous seasons into water or burn them.
