Towards the end of the previous season, Arya Stark was seen travelling on a ship to Braavos. A scene of the character from “Game of Thrones” Season 5, at the House of Black and White, appears in a video posted on the YouTube channel of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The video shows Arya Stark meeting an old man at the House of Black and White. She attempts to gain access by saying the words “Valar Morghulis,” which means “all men must die.” She was expecting the man to reply with “Valar Dohaeris,” which means “all men must serve.” When she doesn’t get a response, she tries showing the old man the iron coin given to her by Jaqen H’ghar.
Getting into the House of Black and White may not be easy for Arya in “Game of Thrones” Season 5. The old man says that no one by the name of Jaqen H’ghar lives there and tries to shut the door. Arya can be seen pleading with him by saying that she has crossed the Narrow Sea to get there and she has nowhere to go. But, the old man still refuses to let her in and shuts the door.
Maisie Williams spoke about how nice it was for her to finally get a change in costume in “Game of Thrones” Season 5. She reminded the viewers that she had been wearing the same costume since the third episode of the first season. The actress confirmed that she will be getting two new costumes in the upcoming season. She also said the House of Black and White is a “really exciting place” for her character to be in.
Meanwhile the producers of the show shared some information about the symbol of the Harpy. The post on the MakingGameofThrones website also contains a video featuringGeorge R.R. Martin, who explains the history of Slaver’s Bay. Fans of the franchise may have seen a statue of the Hary being pulled down in one of the trailers of “Game of Thrones” Season 5.
The Harpy was the symbol of the ancient Ghiscari Empire that was destroyed by the people of Valyria with the help of their dragons. The cities of Astapor, Yunkai and Meereen rely on slave trade to maintain their respective economies. The cities also use the symbol of the mythological creature called the Harpy as their sigil.
With three prominent characers present in Essos, fans of the franchise can expect to see the continent to get more attention in “Game of Thrones” Season 5. Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister will be found in Essos in the upcoming season.
