Game of Thrones Season 5 Spoilers: Who are the Children
"The Children" have been roaming Westeros before the first men arrived. "Game of Thrones" Season 5 will further explore them as Brandon Stark has met one of them and his journey is only beginning. Spoilers Ahead.
The "Game of Thrones" Season 4 finale had many twists like Brandon Strak being saved by one of "The Children." Some of the fans may be wondering who this strange and secluded people are who are fully grown but look like children.
The Children of the forest are magical druidic creatures who were believed to be extinct. Legend has it that they were the ones who carved the faces on some of the old trees in Westeros. They worshipped the gods of nature.
The Children along with the men of Westeros fought a long war with the White Walkers. They were able to successfully drive them further north. Winters in Westeros tend to last for many years and this time a long winter is expected. Viewers have been getting an occasional glimpse of what the White Walkers are all about.
"Game of Thrones" fans may be excited to learn that The Wall in the north was built by a man called Brandon Stark, to protect the rest of the realm from the White Walkers. Brandon Stark also established Winterfell and ruled as the king in the north.
Now, another Brandon Stark has made his way beyond The Wall and met the three-eyed crow. Brandon Stark will hone his Greenseeing abilities in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. Greenseeing ability allows a person to have visions and has other magical powers.
"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will take the viewers to exotic new locations and the new buzz word is Dorne. With casting leaks and other information about the upcoming season pointing to Dorne the producers of the show have finally acknowledged it.
In an interview to Entertainment Weekly the producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss have said that "Game of Thrones" Season 5 is indeed heading to Dorne and they are excited about it. Readers will remember that prince Oberyn was from Dorne and Dornish wine is most famous in the whole of Westeros.
More twists and turns await the fans as "Game of Thrones" heads for season 5. There have been many cliff hangers left by season 4 and fans would want to know what happens to some of their favourite characters like Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Petyr Baelish and Arya Stark.
