‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Updates: Maisie Williams Teases About Arya’s Exit [VIDEO/PHOTOS]
Known for her role in "Game of Thrones" as the fiery Arya Stark, Maisie Williams recently revealed that the fans will have to say goodbye to another Stark. After the infamous "Red Wedding," the Starks of Winterfell are slowly losing their grip on the game of thrones, as the Lannisters of Kings Landing try to maintain their power.
In her recent interview, the "Cyber Bully" actress hinted that there's a "big ending" for Arya while promoting her upcoming movie. Williams' revelation came after HBO released the "Game of Thrones" teaser trailers for "Game of Thrones" Season 5 that features the bird Bran Stark's (Isaac Hempstead Wright) has been seeing since Season 1.
"We're coming to the end now, so I don't know what they're going to do next year," the Bristol-born actress warned "Game of Thrones" fans on her recent interview with The Guardian. "It's the end of Arya, as far as anyone knows."
Known for its "medieval-inspired universe" and high body count, "Game of Thrones" features Arya as one of the long-standing characters of the show while most of the beloved characters have been killed off. One clip of the GOT Season 5 trailer included a montage of Arya where a voice warned her about the "darkness" inside her, which according to speculations could mean that she is saying goodbye to her childhood.
Every GOT fan knows about her journey to the Narrow Sea and her adventures in George R.R. Martin's Book 5, "A Dance With Dragons." The sword-fighting lady Stark was also featured in Martin's preview except in his highly-anticipated sixth instalment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, "The Winds of Winter."
Meanwhile, Williams plays Casey in her new movie "Cyber Bully" which tells the story of a teenage girl who is held prisoner by a computer hacker while threatening to expose her compromising photographs unless she will do what he says. Drawing from her own personal experience of cyber bullying while growing up, the 17-year-old star is urging everyone to take cyber bullying seriously, with so many kids killing themselves because of this issue.
