'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Liam Cunningham tried to convince friends that Davos may not be dead
“Hair watch” appears to be the chosen method for fans to look for clues about who will die in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. In a recent interview, cast member Liam Cunningham revealed how a friend believed that his character Davos is dead, after looking at his clean shaven face.
Davos Seaworth has always been seen with a beard in the TV series. Cunningham has the habit of shaving off his beard after filming for the TV series wraps. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor revealed that when one of his friends saw him in the clean shaven look, she believed that his character was dead.
Cunningham tried to convince his friend that shaving of his beard had nothing to do with the fate of his character and that Davos may still be alive. The actor appears to have failed in convincing her and she decided to tell all her friends that Davos will die in the next season.
Before filming of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 began, fans were keenly watching the hair of Kit Harington (Jon Snow) as a clue about the future of his character on the show. The actor is contractually obligated to keep long hair for the TV series.
Cunningham appears to have encountered his own version of the “hair watch” craze this time around. The future of Davos is currently uncertain after the events of the previous season.
Readers who have read the books in “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series know about the events the character will be involved in. However, it should be noted that the producers are not strictly following the events in the books and there have been deviations in the past.
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is set to premiere on April 24. For the first time the fans of the book series are completely unaware of what will happen next in the TV series. The show has already used all the material from the book series and the next book “Winds of Winter” is yet to be released.
