'Game of Thrones Season 6: Producers can be 'gay' if Jon Snow doesn't return, jokes Amanda Peet
The producers of “Game of Thrones” should not only be conscious of fan reaction if Jon Snow doesn’t come back in Season 6, but should also be worried about how their wives will react. Producer David Benioff’s wife Amanda Peet joked about how her husband should plan to be gay if her favourite character doesn’t return.
A video posted on the YouTube channel of Team Coco, shows Peet speaking to Conan O’Brien about the show. She was asked if she tries to prey information about the show from her husband. Peet said that she got worried the day she read that Kit Harington (Jon Snow) had cut his hair.
Harington is contractually obligated to keep his hair long. Benioff apparently assured his wife that everything would be alright, but that was about two weeks before the Season 5 finale episode aired. Peet decided to team up with co-executive producer D. B. Weiss’ wife and “staged an intervention” with the producers.
The wives demanded the producers to find a way to bring Jon Snow back in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. Benioff and Weiss’ wives jokingly threatened the producers at the intervention that if they fail to bring back the character they can be “gay with each other.”
The trailers of the next season continue to show Jon Snow as a dead body, while the cast members have repeatedly said that the character is dead. The most popular fan theory about the character is that he will be resurrected by Melisandre (Carice Van Houten), who is also at castle black at the moment.
Both Melisandre and Davos (Liam Cunningham) may have to pin their hopes on Jon Snow, if he returns in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The Night’s Watch, however, is expected to go ahead with another election to choose their next Lord Commander.
