'Game of Thrones' Season 6 spoilers: Siege begins; Cersei makes another blunder
A preview video of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 episode 7 has been released online. The video teases the beginning of a siege and also more problems in King’s Landing that will be created by Cersei Lannister.
[Spoiler alert]
Most people in Westeros believe that the War of the Five Kings is just about finished. However, Brynden ‘Blackfish’ Tully (Clive Russell) will remind Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) that as long as he is alive the war is not over. The Blackfish has retaken his castle and the next episode will focus on the Freys and Lannisters laying siege to the castle.
Jaime has a lot to prove in the next episode after being outplayed by the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) during the attempted rescue of Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer). He will now have to show how the Lannisters deal with their enemies.
Meanwhile, back in King’s Landing Cersei (Lena Headey) appears to be forcing Olenna (Diana Rigg) to sign a document. The Queen of Thorns will sign the document but will point out that the two great houses of Tyrell and Lannister are on the verge of collapse thanks to the “stupidity” of Cersei, the “Game of Thrones” Season 6 episode 7 preview video shows.
The next episode of the TV series is titled “The Broken Man.” According to the official synopsis, Jaime will confront a hero. The hero in question could be Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), who was sent by Sansa (Sophie Turner) to take her message of an alliance to Blackfish.
Jaime and Brienne will once again find themselves on opposite sides in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The two characters had grown close to each other previously and have not met for a long time. Will the fans get to see some romance between the two characters? Or will their sense of loyalty and sense of duty prevent them from coming close to each other.
