'Game of Thrones' Season 6 spoilers: Sophie Turner on Sansa's first kill; possible pregnancy
Sophie Turner talked about Sansa Stark’s first kill in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. She and Iwan Rheon appear to be teasing a possible pregnancy of the character in recent interviews.
[Spoiler alert]
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner (Sansa Stark) said that she loved the idea of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) killing Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). However, she added that her character “needs her first kill and it has to be Ramsay.”
The battle and the death of Ramsay marks a change in Sansa. She has now emerged as a major player in the realm. She had complained to her brother that he did not seek her advice before the battle, but now she may get the respect she seeks. It was her alliance with Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) that saved the day.
The change in Sansa may not be all good. In the death scene, Ramsay remarks that Sansa can’t kill him because he is “part” of her now. This scene suggests that she may be pregnant in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. “He’s imprinted on her, mentally and physically,” Turner said about Ramsay.
In an interview with HBO, posted on Making Game of Thrones, Rheon said that the “part of you now” dialogue was “really twisted.” “He has broken her in a really dark way,” he said.
Is Sansa Stark pregnant with Ramsay’s child? Questions were already raised about the character now being a Lannister or a Bolton, rather than a Stark. She was previously married to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and later to Ramsay.
Across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is making preparations to cross over to Westeros and launch her war to claim the Iron Throne. Will Tyrion get to meet with his former wife in “Game of Thrones” Season 6? The interaction between the two characters would be particularly interesting since now Sansa controls Winterfell.
