“Game of Thrones” Season 6 ended with a tease about what to expect next. The show confirmed some of the important fan theories, including the one about Jon Snow. Yet, there were some things missing this season.

[Spoiler alert]

Iron Bank:

Perhaps the most significant organisation in both the continents is the Iron Bank. They are the financers of kingdoms, and when they fail to get what is owed crowns topple. In the previous season they were seen financing both the Lannisters as well as Stannis (Stephen Dillane).

The Iron Bank was altogether missing in this season. The Lannisters had some difficulty repaying the sum they had borrowed in the previous season. With Westeros once again heading for a big war, will Queen Cersei (Lena Headey) be able to finance the war as well as repay her previous loans?

Ghost:

Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) loyal companion was shown sparingly in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. Curiously, the direwolf has not been seen after the resurrection scene. Even during the battle against the Boltons, in which the direwolf could have done major damage, Ghost was missing.

Dorne:

The Sand Sisters were introduced in a big way in the previous season. The producers appear to have minimised the Dorne screen time this time around after the lacklustre response from the fans.

Lady Stoneheart:

In the book series Catelyn Stark returns after her death with a zombie like appearance and takes the name Lady Stoneheart. Fans have for long waited for this character appear in the TV series, with many hoping that she will be seen this year. That, however, did not happen.

The Finale:

The finale episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is titled “The Winds of Winter.” Although winter finally arrived in Westeros, the Night’s King and the White Walkers were missing in the episode. The Wall is intact and the invasion hasn’t happened yet. On the bright side, Jon Snow has been declared King in the North and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is on her way to reclaim the Iron Throne.
