'Game of Thrones' Season 7: Filming at beautiful 'new' castle to begin soon
Filming at a new location in Spain for “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will begin soon. The production crew is busy preparing the set at Castillo de Almodóvar in Spain. Meanwhile, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson has shared a behind the scenes picture of some of the cast members having dinner together.
According to a report by Winter is Coming, while most of the action right now is taking place in Seville, the production crew has quietly arrived at Castillo de Almodóvar. The castle at this location is slowly being transformed into a location in Westeros.
Readers should note that this is a new location for the production team to be working in. So, it may be standing in for as of yet unseen location in Westeros. One possibility is that this is Highgarden. House Tyrell is expected to play a big role in the coming battle, so the fans may get to see their kingdom.
The beautiful castle has unique architecture and also has some breathtaking view of the landscape of the country. The location will be another great addition to “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
Despite the castle’s visual appeal, it may not be seen for a long time next year. Filming at this location is expected to be brief, even though the production crew may spend weeks preparing.
Security around the location is said to have been tightened. However, when the cast members arrive at the town nearby to begin filming; it may give the fans some clues about what will be filmed in the castle.
Björnsson (The Mountain), meanwhile, shared a picture online with many of his fellow cast members in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. With the storylines converging in the next season, the main characters are expected to form new alliances and face-off against characters they haven’t met in a very long time.
