'Game of Thrones' Season 7: Leaked pictures show dragon mayhem
New pictures from the production set of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 have leaked online. The cast and crew are currently busy filming an action sequence that involves a dragon, and the production of this major scene is expected to end soon.
[Spoiler alert]
One of the biggest action sequences of the new season is that of an ambush. The Lannister army under the command of Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will sack Highgarden along with House Tarly. While they are returning to King’s Landing with the loot they will be attacked by Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and her Dothraki horde.
The ambush will involve Daenerys riding one of her dragons to attack her enemies. Leaked pictures from the production set posted on Watchers on the Wall, shows the mayhem caused in the battle.
The pictures shows the Lannister army in disarray and the loot they are taking on carts is either destroyed by the fire or is taken away by the Dothraki. The “Game of Thrones” Season 7 set is filled with smoke and even the ground seems to have been torched with flame throwers to show how a dragon will set the whole area ablaze with fire.
Filming of this scene is taking place at Malpartida, Spain. The cast and crew are expected to wrap up at this location soon and move on to Cáceres. Some of the main cast members including Clarke and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) have already been spotted in Cáceres. The newly appointed Hand of the Queen was also involved in the ambush scene, but it is not clear if he actually takes part in the attack or watches it from a safe distance.
Tyrion has extensive battle experience and has been a part of some of the most successful attacks, as well as defence. It will be interesting to see if the Lannister will pick up arms once again in “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
