'Game of Thrones' season 7: New Arya Stark costume revealed; Premiere will be longer than previous seasons
Cast member Maisie Williams has shared pictures that tease the new costume of her character Arya and the costumes of the other Starks in “Game of Thrones” season 7. Meanwhile, HBO has revealed the runtime of the premiere episode.
After wearing rags all these years, Arya will finally get a costume that fits both her personality and status. A picture posted on Instagram shows Williams in her new outfit. With her boots, cloak and sword Needle, she is ready to dive into action at a moment’s notice.
In another picture posted on Instagram, Williams showed the costumes of her on-screen siblings Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). The pictures are part of Entertainment Weekly’s coverage. With the story now moving towards the end, some of these characters are expected to cross paths again after a long time.
Sansa and Jon have already reunited. The other two siblings are too far away at the moment, but are heading in the same direction.
Meanwhile, HBO has revealed that the premiere episode will run for 59 minutes. This is considerably longer than the 55 minutes per episode average of the previous seasons. Only the first episode of the show had a longer run time at 62 minutes.
If each episode in the penultimate season is longer by 4 minutes, it will give fans an additional 28 minutes of their favourite show. With the series heading towards the end, there are only seven episodes this time around.
Despite fewer episodes this year, “Game of Thrones” season 7 took the same amount of time to film as a regular 10-episode season. The trailer that has been released teases an action-packed adventure this July.
