'Game of Thrones' season 7: New leaked photos from set; Gold cloaks and Queen’s guard
New leaked pictures from the production set of “Game of Thrones” season 7 have surfaced online. The pictures show the new costumes of the Queen’s guard and the Gold Cloak’s (guards in the City Watch of King’s Landing).
[Spoiler alert]
A picture posted on Twitter shows the new costume of the Queen’s Guard. The all black costume resembles the dress Cersei (Lena Headey) wore in the previous season, just before she killed off most of her enemies in one brilliant, but terrifying, stroke.
More pictures from the set have been posted on Watchers on the Wall. Headey will once again be wearing a black costume that seems to be very similar to the one she wore in the previous season. The dark tone of the costumes in King’s Landing tease the dark times ahead on the show, with winter finally arriving in Westeros.
The leaked pictures are from the “Game of Thrones” season 7 set in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane) filmed in the city last week. Director Jeremy Podeswa reportedly continued filming with the extras, after the main cast members were done.
While filming continues at the moment, the cast and crew are expected to take a break during the Christmas holidays. Cast member Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is already on her break, and posted a picture of her celebrating. The team is expected to be back to continue after the holidays. The next season will be the shortest with just seven episodes, so the production may not last too long.
“Game of Thrones” season 7 will premiere on June 25, 2017. The start of filming was delayed this time around because the producers were waiting for the right weather conditions on the set to depict the onset of winter on the show.
