‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 predictions: Things may get too ‘real’ and unpredictable
Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO TV show “Game of Thrones” was taken aback by the “Game of Thrones” Season 7 script after she completed reading it. The actress shared a series of tweets teasing fans that she would start preparing everyone for the upcoming shortened season and then backtracking and saying “nothing will prepare you for this.”
What’s interesting to note here is that Maisie, whose character has gone through so much, who travelled worlds apart to become an assassin and who saw life way more than her age, still could not believe what lies ahead in “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
Fans are now wildly speculating what can be so chilling that nothing can prepare them for it. While everybody speculates, here are some of the key predictions for “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
Invasion by White Walkers and Army of the Dead
This is a no-brainer and has already been confirmed by Kit Harington. Yet, it is not known what the invasion means for all the major characters in GoT. The universe portrayed by George R.R. Martin is insane but the White Walkers can take it out of comprehension altogether. Yes, The Wall will crash. But who will bring it down, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) or the Horn of Joramun, remains to be seen.
Starks will reunite but Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) will go rogue
Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) has been almost successful in creating a rift between Jon Snow and Sansa. The always-tormented Stark sister may go behind Jon’s back again and this time the consequences will be far from sweet. Bran and Arya are unbelievable close to Jon and Sansa.
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will die
Cersei’s Iron Throne venture will be short-lived. All her children are dead. She has made enemies everywhere in King’s Landing. She has also alienated her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Moreover, if Maggy the Frog’s (Jodhi May) prophecy is true, Cersei will die in her brother’s arms.
Daenerys and romance and Euron Greyjoy’s capture
The Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) has moved on from Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) and may end up having a whirlwind affair with Theon Greyjoy’s (Alfie Allen) sister Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan). The two will spend a lot of time together to strategise Euron’s (Pilou Asbæk) capture. However, the Euron episode may delay Daenerys’ King’s Landing invasion.
R+L=J theory to be confirmed
“Game of Thrones” fans got nothing out of the first five seasons as to Jon’s true parentage. Season 6 nearly confirmed the popular R+L=J theory. It’s high time the upcoming season turns the Bastard of Winterfell to a true heir to the Iron Throne.
