'Game of Thrones' season 7 production update: Kit Harington in Iceland
The production of “Game of Thrones” season 7 continues in Iceland, and Kit Harington reportedly arrived in the country recently to film more scenes. The actor was there previously, but had left soon after filming for some time. He has now returned to film an important scene with other fellow cast members.
The production unit of the show has been in Iceland for nearly two weeks now. There have been very few leaks from this set in the past few days because the producers are filming in some of the remotest and “least habitable locations” in the country, WatchersOnTheWall reports. The unit has already filmed a major scene there, which included Harington (Jon Snow).
[Spoiler alert]
The scene that Harington is now filming involves two boats arriving on a beach. The boats are said to be very similar to the ones that previously left a location that appears to be Dragonstone. Leaks from “Game of Thrones” season 7 have already confirmed the meeting of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) at her ancestral home.
Jon Snow and some of the other characters left Dragonstone with a mission to capture a Wight, to prove to the lords in Westeros that the threat of the White Walker invasion is real. Winter has finally arrived on the show, and this means that the Night’s King’s attack is imminent.
After departing from Dragonstone, Jon Snow and his fellow travelers will reportedly reach Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. This is the quickest way to reach the main castle of the Night’s Watch.
The locations mentioned in the report are not confirmed to be the fictitious locations of Westeros. However, the geographic profile indicates what places they will stand in for in “Game of Thrones” season 7. Fans will have to wait and watch the show to be sure. The show can be watched on Foxtel in Australia when it is released.
