'Game of Thrones' Season 7 spoilers: Daenerys may not become the new villain; Jon Snow taking Stannis' role
With production of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 yet to begin, the big question many fans are asking is who will be the new villain. A popular theorist has stated in a recent interview that he doesn’t think Daenerys will take on that role.
[Spoiler alert]
In an interview with The Verge, popular theorist Brynden B Fish concedes that the theory about Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) turning into a Mad Queen could turn out to be right. The theorist, however, doesn’t entirely believe in this possibility.
Daenerys has been struggling with what kind of a ruler she wants to be. She can either be the ruler who freed the slaves and in turn came to be called “Mhysa” (mother) or be the Targaryen Mother of Dragons who takes what is rightfully hers through fire and blood.
The theorist felt that it would be “cliché” for Daenerys to turn from being a good person to “an out-and-out villain.” Brynden B Fish said that that is not how Martin writes characters. The character is heading to Westeros in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 and is expected to spread some mayhem with her grownup dragons.
In the north Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is the new king. Brynden B Fish pointed out that the character is taking the role of Stannis Baratheon from “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series. In the books, Stannis was seen rallying the Houses in the north to his banner and this is exactly what Jon is doing in the TV series.
The most anticipated event of the White Walker invasion may finally happen in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. So, while Cersei (Lena Headey) and Daenerys fight for what they believe to be their rights, Jon Snow will be fighting for humanity as a whole.
