'Game of Thrones' Season 7 spoilers: Get ready for another 'epic' battle; Don't expect early release date
Emilia Clarke teased another “epic” battle in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 that could rival “The Battle of Bastards” from the previous season. The actress has read the whole script, but didn’t want to reveal any big secrets about the show yet.
[Spoiler alert]
Speaking on the red carpet at the Emmys, Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) said that the producers have “topped” in the previous season, TV Line reports. The actress was asked to elaborate on the comments made by fellow cast member Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), who had tweeted her excitement after reading the script previously.
Clarke confirmed the statement made by Williams and added that the new season is “ridiculous.” She said that if anyone were to walk in on any day on the set they would witness a spoiler, because “every single word is a spoiler” this time around.
The actress revealed that she got all the scripts in advance and that she knows “everything.” When asked if there are any battles in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 that rivals the “Battle of Bastards,” Clarke complimented director Miguel Sapochnik for pulling off such a stunning sequence, and then went on to tease that the next season will feature another battle that will be “epic.”
Clarke was asked which character she would like to spend more time with in the next season. “Girls…give me another girl man!” she said. The actress wanted to “hang out” with Cersei (Lena Headey), Arya or Sansa (Sophie Turner). She, however, did not mention Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan), a character that Daenerys flirted with a little in the previous season.
With winter finally arriving in Westeros, the start of production was delayed to get the right weather conditions for filming. That resulted in the release date of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 also getting pushed. When asked if there was any chance for the premiere episode to be moved up, Clarke said that after reading the script she believes that it is going to take them a while to finish it, so the fans can only wait.
