'Game of Thrones' season 8: Sophie Turner teases 'unpredictable' ending
Cast members Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has teased in a recent interview that the ending of “Game of Thrones” season 8 is going to be “unpredictable.” She also talked about the action sequences in the film, and she hopes that the fans will not be disappointed with what the cast and crew have made.
There are many fan theories about how the show will end, how the stories and the lore are connected, who will die, and where all the remaining major characters will end up. In an interview with DigitalSpy, Turner said that it’s very “unpredictable” the way things end up.
"For me – without giving anything away, I guess – I was satisfied with how unpredictable the show's ending really is," Turner said.
The actress is aware of the various fan theories about where the show is headed. She said that she is satisfied with the ending, and she hopes the fans will be too.
The report notes that not even the “Sons of Ice and Fire” book series author George RR Martin may know how the show will end. Turner said that once the TV series overtook the source material, Martin gave his blessing to the producers to take show in a direction they see fit. The producers have tried to continue the story after interpreting the books that have been released so far.
"They're still doing justice to the story, and serving the characters in the way they feel like they should be,” Turner said.
As far as the action sequences on the show are concerned, Turner teased that they are “nice, big battle scenes.” The actress isn’t allowed to tease too many details this early, so she refrained from elaborating further.
Filming of “Game of Thrones” season 8 has wrapped, and the show is currently in the postproduction phase of development.
