British actress Emilia Clarke and Seth MacFarlane ended their relationship and blames distance for it.

The 39-year-old host who recently had his stint at the Oscars and the 25-year-old actress chose to end their relationship because distance was getting in the way.

"They are no longer dating. It was really a location challenge," a source told E! Online and Perez Hilton. "She has been in Europe shooting 'Game of Thrones' and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends."

Emilia and Seth publicly stepped out together last September in 2012 which was around the time of the Emmy Awards. They have both been spotted together since then. However, in just a span of six months, it looks like the wind has changed.

Prior to his hosting gig at the Oscars, the "Family Guy" creator once gushed about his girlfriend.

"She is an incredibly kind, supremely talented person, and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met," MacFarlane said on Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke was seen going solo during the red carpet premier of "Game of Thrones" season 3 on Monday in Los Angeles. The actress looked stunning in a blue floor length gown. Apart from being busy in promoting their much anticipated HBO series which will return on March 31, Emilia is also set to appear on the pages of GQ magazine. The petite actress will also be playing Holly Golightly in the Broadway revival of "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

On a side note, was Emilia Clarke possibly offended when MacFarlane sang the "We Saw Your Boobs" song during the concluded Academy Awards? While Seth mocks a couple of actresses who have gone topless in films, his ex-girlfriend has done the same in "Game of Thrones." A few couple of times actually.
