“Game of Thrones” star Richard Madden needs to learn how to sit properly on a train, or so according to a Tumblr blog post. The 27-year-old Scottish actor is being slammed after he was photographed sitting with his legs spread wide on the London Tube.

The said photo sees a grumpy-looking Madden slouching on his seat on the Tube while holding an umbrella. What makes it so controversial is the fact that he had his legs spread wide while sitting, making him appear to have taken more than his fair share of space on the seat.

It was posted on the “Men Taking Up Too Much Space on the Train” blog on Tumblr in June, which aims to shame men who inconsiderately take more than one seat on public transportation. It has just gotten further online exposure after gossip sites such as the Daily Mail has featured the story recently.

Since being uploaded, the photo has gathered more than 580 notes on the blog site, with commenters appeared to be divided on their opinions about Madden’s apparently lack of train etiquette.

“The King In The North taking up too much space on the train,” one user wrote, mentioning Madden’s role in the HBO series as Robb Stark.

Another added, “wow robb maybe if youd just been a bit more gracious on the subway your family would still be alive,” referring to the much talked about episode of the show, “The Red Wedding,” in which Madden’s character and his family were massacred on his wedding day.

But there were also those who defended Madden.

“He is in a seat. His legs may be far apart but he is only taking up ONE seat,” a commenter claimed, adding that the hullaballoo on Madden’s photo is “f****** ridiculous.”

“Hey now. Robb Stark is the king of the north. He can take up as much space as he likes. When you play the game of underground seating you either win or die,” a Tumblr comment reads.

“The only reason he’s taking up so much space is because Winter is coming,” one commenter added.

Madden is best known for his “Game of Thrones” character, which is why most comments on his Tumblr photo referred to Robb Stark, who died in the aforementioned episode aired in June.

In May, it was announced that he has joined the upcoming film adaptation of the fairy tale “Cinderella” as the Prince. The film is currently in production stage, and will be released in 2015.
