Games With Gold: New Xbox One and Xbox 360 free games for February

Another set of free games are now readily available for Xbox Live Gold members. This February marks the second month of the “Games with Gold” program. All the more reason for gold members to rejoice.

The first set of Xbox 360 free games for this month has already been released a few weeks ago. This is the Xbox 360 game “Monkey Island 2: SE.” The 1991 game developed and produced by LucasArts has made its comeback last Feb. 1. Sadly, the pirate story game was only available up until Feb. 15.

Following this free game is “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed,” which is also available for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. This game was also developed by LucasArts and was initially released in 2008. The action-adventure game will be available for free starting Feb. 16 up to Feb. 28.

As for the Xbox One game, “Killer Instinct Season 2” has just finished its free play timeline. The game was originally released in 2008 and was developed by Double Helix Games, Iron Galaxy Studios, Rare and Microsoft Studios, under the supervision of Ken Lobb. They were released as free-to-play launch games for the Xbox One in 2013. The game was free to play from Jan. 16 to Feb. 15.

The second free game for Xbox One is now currently available. “Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime” will be available for the whole month of February. The game was developed by Asteroid Base and was originally released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, Linux and Xbox One platforms. Players can now relive the space shooting, teamwork based co-op game that they fell in love with in 2015.

The final game that is included in the February batch is “Project Cars” for Xbox One. This motorsport racing simulator video game was developed by Slightly Mad Studios and was released in 2015. The game was made available for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Now it can be played for free starting Feb. 16 up to the following month, March 15. Players can once again enjoy this realistic driving simulation game in the comforts of their Xbox One.
