Gaming News: Skyrim for PS4 a Bug, More Details for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare; Sony and Nintendo Sales Getting Into China?
There were a number of fans who rejoiced when they spotted the PS4 and Xbox One version of Skyrim was listed on Bethesda's web site. The posting was immediately removed, which led to the speculations that it was similar to previous incidences of videogames being leaked in some way to tease out the release date, before actually being announced by the developer.
It doesn't help that there were rumours of a teaser that stated a special announcement was slated for January 12, 2014. While there were speculations of another Fallout 4 tease, the timing with the next-gen version of Skyrim also caused some hype.
However, IGN reports that Bethesda has been quick to remedy the situation, which shows that there really may not be any intention of transferring the title to the PS4 and Xbox One.
"We have been working on the CMS that runs our sites. A bug caused platforms that don't exist to show up for some games. Sorry for confusion," said Pete Hines, VP of Development for Bethesda in a tweet.
So as you can see, the hype of Skyrim going on to the PS4 and Xbox One was caused by a bug. And any mention of a January special announcement from the developer is nothing but a hoax from another fan.

Nintendo and Sony consoles moving strongly in China?
When news of China lifting 13-year ban for gaming consoles broke, the first company that immediately moved in on the target was Microsoft. Previous reports have stated that Microsoft's Xbox One will be marketed as both an entertainment and gaming box, so that it can be flexible enough to warrant entry into Chinese households without having to shock the system by populating it with gaming consoles.
However, the two companies that are experiencing a surge in sales because of the removal of the gaming console band are actually Sony and Nintendo, according to Joystiq.
Stock prices for both companies have risen, putting Sony at $18.25 while Nintendo is now at $18.65. The main method of both Sony and Nintendo is to achieve the right pace so that it will avoid too much excitement given China's easier access to the consoles. This is to avoid any bad moves that might make the Chinese government resume the console ban.

More details from dev on Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
The Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive game is one of the more awaited ones for those who have been long-time fans of the franchise. This is because the game has a very different take and treatment compared to what has been given for both the versions on the PC and mobile devices.
First revealed at E3 2013, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare has a shooting theme reminiscent of first-person shooters and battle games. It also features gameplay where you can switch fro third to first-person point of view and back.
In an interview with Examiner, producer Brian Lindley explained that, design-wise, the plants and zombies have been designed with different abilities for offense and defense, not necessarily giving both sides similar powers so that you'll be likely to experiment more.

"An interesting thing about Garden Warfare is the design of the plants and the zombies are kind of asymmetrical. So it's kind of interesting that there isn't an exact specific equivalent character design on either side. We've designed them with different sets of abilities," said Lindley to Examiner.
This would mean that you would need more wits and strategy to ensure that you pack the right blow to get rid of the zombies. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is set to debut on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on February 18.
