Things get pretty heated up with the newest promotional poster for "Gangster Squad" released by Warner Bros. Joining forces once more on the big screen are Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Along for the rough ride are Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Nick Nolte and more.

A film by Ruben Fleischer, "Gangster Squad" is set to hit the big screen by September 7. Given it's financed by only the best in the film industry, Warner Bros has released the final piece of advertisement for the film. Though judging from the art, the studio might still be set on releasing four individual posters taken from the collated banner poster.

Emma Stone keeps the poster red hot in a fiery ensemble while Gosling remains as dastardly handsome in a simple three-piece suit. The '40s inspired get-ups are enough to keep fans of both parties on their toes before the much-anticipated release of the film. So what exactly is the film about? Apart from the obvious fact it's about guns and mayhem, plus a real hot bed scene between Gosling and Stone.

"Gangster Squad" tells the story of two LAPD officers, Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling, who try to take down the boss of illegal trade taking over the city, Mickey Cohen played by Sean Penn. Set in 1949 Los Angeles, the film is based on the seven-part Paul Lieberman's "Tales From Gangster Squad". Apart from Gosling, Stone, Nolte, Penn and Brolin, the massive cast includes Michael Pena, Anthony Mackie, Holt McCallany, Giovanni Ribisi, Mireille enos, Robert Patrick, Frank Grillo and Troy Garity.

Given the film is set for a September release, expect more promotional posters to come in. While the big wait, fans of Gosling and Stone may relive their on screen romance in the film, "Crazy Stupid Love". Reports are coming in that apart from "Gangster Squad", Emma and Ryan will once again work together in the flick "Focus".

Currently, Emma Stone is busy promoting the film, "The Amazing Spiderman" where she stars opposite real life boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. Ryan Gosling, on the other hand, also stars in another film alongside real life beau, Eva Mendes, in the film, "The Place Beyond the Pines".
