Gareth Bale Transfer Update - The rift between Tottenham Hotspur and Gareth Bale are growing inch-by-inch as Real Madrid's pursuit of arguably the best footballer in the English Premier League becomes ugly.

Bale, who's desperately lobbying the Spur to let him talk with the Los Blancos big wigs for a possible record-breaking transfer this offseason, returned to London after a round of pre-season matches in Asia on Monday morning.

Bale seemed frustrated by the decision of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to freeze any negotiations between him and the Spanish football giant, keeping his dream of playing for Real stalled yet again.

Bale and the entire Hotspur squad arrived at Heathrow Terminal 5 and reporters immediately noticed the cold atmosphere surrounding the group.

The 24-year old Bale flashed a 'stony-faced' while Spur manager André Villas-Boas headed to a different direction.

Real Madrid offered Bale a record-breaking £91 million offer (with Angel Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao included) to Hotspur in exchange for two-time PFA Player of the Year in Bale.
