Whoever was managing the Twitter account of Gatorade during Game 1 of the San Antonio Spurs versus Miami Heat in the 2014 NBA Finals probably deserves a raise.

The person behind the social media account of the sports drink company not only got free advertising off the now-infamous cramping-up of LeBron James but he/she also managed to troll the NBA superstar.

@LazyBumDrew we were waiting on the sidelines, but he prefers to drink something else. — Gatorade (@Gatorade) June 6, 2014

“@Gatorade: With a game this hot, we're right at home. #WinFromWithin #NBAFinals” With your spokesman cramped out?? #PHAIIIIILLLL

— Carmichael Dave (@CarmichaelDave) June 6, 2014

@CarmichaelDave This is awkward....We don't sponsor him. #fail — Gatorade (@Gatorade) June 6, 2014

Maybe @Gatorade would have helped? #NBAFinals

@dufresne33 Hydration definitely would've helped.

James finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals for the Heat but the Spurs got the 110-95 blowout victory as the Miami star suffered cramps in the crucial part of the game. After a made lay-up, James had to be taken off the court at the 3:59 mark of the final quarter with the Heat trailing by two points, 94-92.

For the record, James is endorsing Powerade, a direct competitor of Gatorade. Dwyane Wade, who endorses Gatorade and did not suffer any cramps during Game 1, had no comment.
