'General Hospital' spoilers for Dec 29, 2016: Nathan’s past comes back to cause him trouble; Michael develops feelings for Nelle; an old character may return to Port Charles

On the Dec. 29 episode of “General Hospital,” Nathan (Ryan Paevey) will be dealing with some issues regarding his past. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) will also have a huge confrontation.

In the previous episode, Jason (Billy Miller) was looking for clues at the pawnshop. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was reaching a tipping point due to Julian (William deVry) constantly meddling with his business. Laura (Genie Francis) vows to help Lulu (Emme Rylan) as she deals with the custody case. Nathan will receive some terrible news. Hayden (Rebecca Budig) will get better, although it may come with a consequence. Kiki (Hayley Erin) will not be able to go against her fate.

On Thursday, Nathan’s past will return to cause him trouble. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) will make a promise to Nina (Michelle Stafford). Bobbie will put Nelle in a difficult position. Bobbie will confront Nelle and continue to closely observe her in the New Year. If Carly (Laura Wright) is truly her mother, the identity of her biological father has yet to be revealed. He may also be the person taking advantage of Nelle, writes SheKnowsSoaps.

It is very likely that the news that Nathan previously received is connected with his history coming back to haunt him. Will he be dealing with someone from his past? Did he try to cover up a huge secret that finally leaked? In any case, Nathan might need someone he can trust to handle the problem immediately.

Michael is developing feelings for Nelle but things get complicated because the latter is his sister. It was also strange that Morgan was interested in Nelle, as well. Ultimately, it was a good move for Nelle to turn both of them down.

SoapCentral notes that there are rumours that an old character will return to Port Charles. Fans believe that Vanessa Marcil may return to reprise her role as Brenda Barrett, known for being the true love of Sonny (Maurice Benard). A spokesperson from the soap stated, however, that there are no current plans to have her come back. Still fans remain optimistic that Sonny and Brenda will reunite soon.

On Friday, December 30, “General Hospital” will present an encore of the Nov. 14, 2016 episode. “General Hospital” airs on weekdays on ABC. More updates and details are expected soon.
