Korean superstar Psy recently released the music video for his new song titled "Gentleman." Though the music video already received more than 30 million views on YouTube, response from the excited fans were mixed with some people unimpressed with Psy's follow-up song to his monster hit single "Gangnam Style."

The 35-year-old singer is aware of the pressure if he can surpass the success of "Gangnam Style" and meet the expectations of his fans worldwide with the new song "Gentleman." After performing his latest single in Seoul during the weekend, Psy revealed that he was not attempting to make another global phenomenon with the song.

"I've been doing this for 12 years. Would it be fair to call me a one-hit wonder just because my next song falls flat? I gained international fame almost by accident but that does not mean that I will make desperate efforts to maintain that global popularity," Psy declared.

Some of the viewers from other countries found Psy's video of "Gentleman" packed with crude and offensive humor but Psy apparently is not entirely bothered with the response of the crowd. "I will just continue to do what I have been doing for all these years. If it satisfies people's appetite, it will. If not, it won't."

Lee Han Sun, a 33-year-old fan who witnessed Pys's performance of "Gentleman" at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, expressed his opinion about the new track. "I have really high expectations for how this one is going to turn out. Gangnam Style had such a huge impact and I expect this one to have an even larger one," Lee Han Sun stated.

The Korean fan passed judgment on Psy's new song and further declared: "I heard the new single and, honestly, I don't know. I think maybe there's a 30 percent chance it will flop."

Kim Kyung Ah, a 21-year-old film student at Seoul's Dong Kuk University, watched the "Gentleman" music video with her boyfriend and shared what she thinks. "Because PSY was a big hit internationally, I had this expectation that he was going to produce something of quality that befits his reputation. But he copied this one dance move from a famous girl group, so I thought it wasn't as fresh as I expected," Kim Kyung Ah stated.

Despite the disappointment, Kim Kyung Ah admitted that she is still a fan of Psy and very proud with the singer's success that made their country famous. "He's promoting Korea to the rest of the world and spreading K-Pop," the student added.
