George Clooney asked to witness in the Berlusconi trial
Berlusconi is facing prostitution trial over accusations that the Premier had employed prostitutes during parties at the Berlusconi villa.
Actor, George Clooney has been asked as witness for the Silvio-Berlusconi trial along with an Italian foreign minister and a group of showgirls.

Clooney has been listed to stand as witness in the trial, according to the Associated Press, following a testimony of a Moroccan teenager who claimed that she had seen Clooney and his Italian girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis in one of the controversial parties.
"We want to see if they confirm this fact or not," Piersilvio Cipollotti from the law firm representing Berlusconi was quoted as saying by the Associated Press, referring to Clooney and others called in as witness to the case.
The Associated Press added that the representative did not respond to the email sent for the ‘Ocean’ film series actor.
Clooney has a mansion on Lake Como located north of Milan and he has been frequenting Italy and spotted with girlfriend Canalis in many occasions.
Reports by Italian newspapers said that the actor was pointed by the Morroccan teenager as attending with girlfriend parties thrown by Berlusconi.
The Italian newspaper, Corriere della Serra filed a report on March 22 that said when prosecutors talked to Clooney’s girlfriend recently, the Italian model vehemently denied attending any functions by Berlusconi .
