George Clooney has confirmed the rumours that he is getting married to Amal Alamuddin in Italy, later this month. Venice is the city for his and Alamuddin's much anticipated wedding ceremony. The Hollywood actor spilled this nugget of information at the Celebrity Fight Night in Tuscany, Italy, on Sunday.

"I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places," People has quoted Clooney as saying at the event. People has also reported that throughout the event, Alamuddin, 36, was the centre of Clooney's focus.

The 53-year-old actor got engaged to the U.K. based human rights lawyer on April 22 this year. The official wedding date has not yet been revealed, but Hollywood Life has reported that this beautiful couple is likely to get married on Sept. 20, 2014.

Meanwhile, Mail Online is reporting that on Monday, Clooney and Alamuddin were spotted leaving a hotel in Florence. The Hollywood actor was dressed in light blue denim shirt and jeans, while his fiancée was wearing a floral print, summer dress from Oscar de la Renta.

Earlier, Mail Online reported that Brad Pitt is likely to be Clooney's best man. Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married on Aug. 23 in Chateau Miraval, France.

The report quoted Clooney's aunt, Starla Clooney, as saying, "I would say he'd choose Brad Pitt for his best man. They are good friends, I would think that's who he'd choose."

There are reports that indicate that Clooney and Alamuddin are going to tie the knot at Clooney's £25 million Lake Como holiday home. According to New York Daily News, Alamuddin recently registered at the London's Chelsea Registry office, officially informing the officials that she is getting married to Clooney in Italy. British citizens, who plan to walk down the aisle outside UK, have to notify the local registry.

Also, recently, there were reports that Alamuddin is pregnant. Clooney's rep was quick to deny that the human rights lawyer is pregnant. Last week, Alamuddin was spotted at the head office of Alexander McQueen. This fashion house has reportedly become the place to go for celebrity wedding dresses since Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding in 2012. Kate Middleton picked her wedding gown from Alexander McQueen.
