George Clooney is now married to British barrister Amal Alamuddin. However, not many know that Clooney has been married once, before exchanging vows with Amal on Sept 27, 2014. Clooney was in wedlock with actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993. Hers are top six things to know about Clooney's ex wife:

1. Clooney married Talia after dating her few months. The two reportedly flew to Vegas to get married. However, post the divorce he revealed, " I probably-definitely -wasn't someone who should have been married at that point. I just don't feel like I gave Talia a fair shot," OK ! magazine quoted Vanity Fair.

2. Talia is the daughter of actors Martin Balsam and Joyce Van Patten. She was born in New York and currently married to "Mad Man" actor John Slattery. The two have a son together.

3. Talia worked with husband John on "Mad Man." She plays the role of Mona Sterling on the show. In the series John's character repeatedly cheats on Mona Sterling.

4. Talia has worked in a slew of television series including "Nurse Jackie", "Homeland", "Treme", "K Street", "Without A Trace" and others.

5. Clooney and Talia's husband John get along really well, according to reports by Express. Talia had previously told the website that they both have worked together and have no hard feelings

6. Talia is reportedly being used getting linked to Clooney in one or the other way. "I'm totally used to it now," she revealed to the website, adding, "And he does talk about it more than I do! It's funny because it's still in the present somehow, even though it was a long time ago. It doesn't even enter my head any more," she said about her marriage to Clooney.

George Clooney has also had his fair share of girlfriend before finding his life partney in Amal. Clooney has dated Kelly Preston, Renee Zellweger, Lisa Snowden and slew of other celebs in the past.
