It is not only the Hollywood entertainment industry that is rejoicing over George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding. Apparently, the wedding also touched people in another part of the world. The bride's father also shared that Middle East is also rejoicing over the news. It comes as a great news amidst all the dark news surrounding the actions of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

The father of the bride, now George Clooney's father-in-law said that the wedding could not be any more perfect. The father said that the two are perfect matches for each other and the timing of their wedding is really right.

The father specifically stated that the A-list actor's marriage to his Lebanese-born, anti-Israel and human rights attorney daughter Amal Alamuddin is truly a bright spot in the dark and scary world that Middle East is currently experiencing.

"It was grand, simple and perfect. The couple really do match," he said of the ceremony, detailing: "It is very good news among the bad news we are living now."

Other Lebanese agreed on Twitter that the wedding was the only good news they have heard so far, as they face several problems wracking their nation.

"The roads in the country are blocked, we don't have a president, parliament is paralysed, (Prime Minister Tammam) Salam is busy with the issue of the soldiers (kidnapped by jihadists) and the country is on the verge of collapse," shared one Twitter user, who used hashtag #congratulations."But thank God, Clooney has become the son of Lebanon," he added.

The ceremony was quite star-studded. Several celebrities attended the nuptials. Big names in the industry such as Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Bono and Anna Wintour were there to witness George's second marriage. Remarkably, most of the guests arrived at the ceremony in taxi boats.

News about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin that they got engaged broke last April. They were able to get their marriage license in August. George first got married to actress Talia Balsam for four years. They split up and divorced in 1993. The two are believed to be heading to a honeymoon in Marrakech.
