George Clooney welcomes ageing, cites not being typecast as benefit
George Clooney is not vain, he just happens to look good, so good. At least that's what Clooney implied. In a recent interview, Clooney said he is not vain, and welcomes ageing.
But then again, if you happen to age like George Clooney, won't you welcome it? Some say he is like a good wine, as Clooney add up years he gets better, as far as the roles he gets, and of course, there's the acting.
George Clooney thinks his advancing years mean he is offered more diverse acting roles. He told Sueddeutsche Zeitung, a Germany-based newspaper that he has never been typecast because he lets himself age.
"That's down to lack of success. No, really. Being hugely successful in a certain role or genre comes with the risk of being typecast. So far I was lucky - in moderation," Clooney said.
"The second reason is my advanced age. I'm literally aging before your faces I'm not vain though. I welcome it, the ageing. Otherwise I would have coloured my hair by now."
Of course I'm not offered the role of the romantic hero that often anymore, but at my age I get to do more and more character roles."
Clooney now stars in a new movie The American which opened weakly at the box office but quickly picked up to become a top grosser.
