George Clooney’s Fiancé Visits Kate Middleton’s Wedding Gown Designer
As preparation for her upcoming wedding, Amal Alamuddin visits Kate Middleton's wedding gown designer, Alexander McQueen. Spotted visiting the headquarters of the high-end designer, Alamuddin spent an hour and a half in Clerkenwell, East London with her mother, Baria Alamuddin, reports said.
After confirming her engagement with George Clooney earlier this year, the 36-year-old brunette was reportedly fitting her dream gown as she was snapped with a seamstress with a cushion on her arm. Dressed in a glamourous floral jumpsuit, the human rights lawyer enjoyed a day out in London with her mother on Wednesday, Sept. 3, but seemed to be in a rush for their appointment.
"They seemed quite flustered as they sped through London to get to their meeting on time," an onlooker told Mirror in an interview.
According to Sunday Express, Clooney's soon-to-be bride was in a good mood after their appointment, with a smile plastered on her face. She left the fashion house after kissing the seamstress goodbye, but according to Daily Mail, the fashion house declined to comment if they are making Amal's wedding gown.
Designed by McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton, Kate Middleton's wedding dress received worldwide admiration when she tied the knot with Prince William. It seems that Amal also plans to make a statement by going with the designer who created one of the world's most notable wedding gowns.
Based on Sunday Express' report, there are rumors that the couple is planning to get married in Italy and that the wedding is going to be featured in Vogue. Just last month Amal made a solo trip in the civic office in Chelsea, posting a marriage notice for their upcoming wedding which is reportedly happening at the actor's £24 million Italian home, Villa Oleandra, on Lake Como.
"I think the girls in the office were disappointed George Clooney himself didn't come in [to sign the banns]," Express reports. "We do sometimes have celebrities turning up in the background. You'll be doing a wedding for a young graphic designer and suddenly a Hollywood A-lister or someone like David Bowie will turn up. Or you see the paperwork and go, 'Oh blimey, that's George Clooney'."
