George Lucas has reportedly not seen the first official trailer of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The trailer was released a few days ago and has been watched online by millions of fans across the globe. The movie is directed by J.J. Abrams.

George Lucas is the creator of the "Star Wars" franchise and has been the director of most of the movies released by the franchise so far. Speaking to PageSix, of the New York Post, he said that he has not seen the trailer yet. The veteran director reportedly wants to watch the whole movie in the theaters and doesn't want to see the trailer beforehand.

The trailer had created a lot of excitement as well as a few concerns among the fans. The trailer featured some new elements and characters that the fans of the franchise have so far not seen in the previous movies. The most notable change is the introduction of the actor John Boyega as a Stormtrooper.

Fans of the franchise were concerned how John Boyega could play a Stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" The recently launched trilogy had shown that all Stormtroopers were clones and the role was played by the actor Temuera Morrison. Those who had such concerns were fans who were not familiar with the books, comics or the animation series of the franchise that showed that the Empire had started recruiting from the general populace.

But the concern of these fans was perceived to be racist by the other fans of the franchise. The words "BlackStormtrooper" quickly started to trend on the social media website Twitter. Most of the fans however enjoyed John Boyega in his new role in the trailer.

The views of George Lucas on the subject may only be known on the day "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in released in the theaters, as he has not seen the recently launched trailer and reportedly has no intention of seeing any future trailers from the movie.

The "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer also showcased the new helmet design of the Stormtroopers, a "ball droid" and the new villain wielding a new lightsaber. Will J.J. Abrams be able to meet the expectations of George Lucas and the fans of the franchise? Please leave your comments below.
